Why donate to EduCare Foundation?
Transforming the life of a young person transforms their future.
A safe place to be after school can powerfully affect a child’s ability to thrive. Studies have shown that young people involved in structured activities after school are less likely to engage in risky behaviors, experiment with drugs, and skip school. And a recent study of EduCare’s afterschool programs found that students who attended were 21-30% more likely to graduate from high school than non-participants.
The supportive relationships that adolescents develop with their afterschool program providers have been shown to increase motivation for school, strengthen perseverance in the face of academic challenges and hardships, and improve levels of overall well-being.
The social-emotional skills and positive peer relationships that our students develop in EduCare programs foster their long-term success. Studies show that social and emotional competence increases the likelihood of readiness for postsecondary education, career success, positive family and work relationships, better mental health, reduced criminal behavior, and engaged citizenship.

How can I double my monthly contribution with a matching gift?
Your gift may be eligible for a company match through your or your spouse’s current employer. Check with your company to see if they offer matched giving.
How do I change or cancel my monthly gift?
Please email our Fund Development team, giving@educarefoundation.com or call Leah Jean, our Fund Development Director, between 9 am – 5 pm PT Monday – Friday at (360) 780-3058.
When will my credit card be charged?
Your credit card will be charged once you submit your first monthly gift and then will be charged around this same day for the months to follow.
Will I receive an annual tax receipt?
Yes, you will receive an annual statement provided for tax purposes each January. EduCare Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization and all donations to EduCare are tax-deductible within the guidelines of US Law.
Can I set up my monthly donation by mail?
Yes! Sign up with your bank to mail a monthly recurring donation check to EduCare Foundation at 16134 Wyandotte Street, Van Nuys, California 91406.
Then email our Fund Development team at giving@educarefoundation.com or call Leah, our Fund Development Director, between 9 am – 5 pm PT Monday – Friday at (360) 780-3058, to let us know you’ve signed up to be a monthly supporter.
Can I set up my monthly donation using electronic fund transfers from my bank?
Yes! On our donation form select Donate Via Bank Account as your payment option.
