Since our humble beginnings in 1990, EduCare Foundation has reached over 250,000 students and supported 40,000 teachers and parents across more than 450 schools! On May 15, 2021, a very special online event – LOVEx30 – celebrated 30 years of making a difference in the lives of young people.

We Lit Up the Night

From the entertaining pre-show, through interviews with staff, board members, and recent graduates, to the beautiful closing meditation and candle-lighting, this was a celebration that lifted hearts and minds.

Highlights

Stu and Candace Semigran, EduCare’s co-founders, thanked the many, many people who made this beautiful work the success it has been.

EduCare graduates, Samuel and Efe Davenport, joined their mom, Belinda, and our event host and board member, Joey Hubbard, to talk about the impact that EduCare has made on their lives.

Joey Hubbard interviewed Magaly Barajas, EduCare’s site coordinator at Firebaugh High School, Kamin Samuel, EduCare board member, and Abigail Miranda, a recent high school graduate, about EduCare’s growing English language learner program and specialized student services.

Thank You for Your Support

Thank you to all our donors and friends who came forward throughout the night to support our young people! We raised more than two-thirds of our $100,000 goal, which will be invested in our young people as they return to in-person education following a full year of remote learning. This will allow EduCare to provide thousands of underserved students with no-cost summer and afterschool programs, ACE social-emotional learning workshops, and specialized student support.

And it’s not too late - you can still contribute towards supporting the essential services EduCare provides for students and families by making a donation today!
